Documentation
1st Incident of misconduct.
Take child into cooler area.
Explain why they have been put into the area.
 
Coach to make notes of incident as soon as is possible



On field conversation with Parent/Guardian, informing them of the correction process.
 
Welfare Officer to send out a copy of the GH Disciplinary Procedure to the Parent / Guardian
Coach to make notes of incident as soon as is possible
 
Coach must inform the Welfare Officer of the incident post session.
Welfare Officer Official Log.

2nd Incident of misconduct.
​
Take child into cooler area. 
Explain why they have been put into the area. 
 
Coach to make notes of incident as soon as is possible


On field conversation with Parent/Guardian, informing them of the correction process.  Remind Parent/Guardian of the Players Charter and Disciplinary Procedure.
 
Coach must inform the Welfare Officer of the incident post session.
Welfare Officer Official Log.
3rd Incident of misconduct – Strike One
Take child into cooler area. 
Explain why they have been put into the area.
 
If the incident is deemed Gross Misconduct then the child must be removed from the session.
 
Coach to make notes of incident as soon as is possible

Due to the child has been into the cooler area for the 3rd time in the season the following must happen
 
On field conversation with Parent/Guardian, 
informing them of the correction process.  
 
Warning letter sent to Parents/Guardian; asking child to adhere to the players charter and warning them of a potential 4-week ban id there is another incident this season. 

Coach must inform the Welfare Officer of the incident post session.
Strike One Letter.
 
Welfare Officer Official Log.


4th Incident of misconduct – Strike Two. 
Child removed from the rest of the session and taken to a safe supervised area. 
 
Coach to make notes of incident as soon as is possible


Talk to Parent/Guardian and inform them that their child is now on a 4-week ban.
 
Child to have automatic 4-week ban and warning of Strike Three. 
 
Explain and implement the ban. 
 
Issue warning letter about Strike two letter 
Strike Two Letter.

5th Incident of misconduct – Strike Three. ​
Child is taken to the cooler area. This action is anytime during the remainder of the season after returning from 4-week ban.
Disciplinary meeting to be had with coach, deciding whether to issue S3 letter to expel the player. 
 
If player is to be expelled; issue Strike Three letter.

Strike Three letter.

Note Cooler area: Marked out area, located close to the playing area. Area to be marked as a square using cones.

​Behaviour deemed necessary for correction
 
Misconduct – Move 1 stage up the Disciplinary Procedure:

  • Repeated general misbehaviour that is disruptive to the session
  • Repeatedly not following instructions
  • Calling names to either the Coach or team mates
  • Verbal aggression to either the Coach or team mates
  • Over emotional which has created too much aggression and dangerous play

Violent Conduct – Move straight up to Strike One:
  • Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.​
  • Violent conduct with the intent to hurt
 
Note: If behaviour is deemed to be Violent Conduct, then action must be taken straight to Strike One Letter and removed from field of play
